Back to Training

The training allocations for the next month or so have been finalised. These allocations are effective from Monday 25th May, 2020.

Training allocations can be found here.

The Football NSW COVID-19 Return to Training rules have made the allocation process very difficult.

I would like to thank all the teams who have met our request to alter their training times, especially those who will train on Saturdays.

We expect that by the time the season starts, hopefully with in four weeks, that the COVID-19 rules will be relaxed and we can return to our normal training allocation and coaching rules.

AFL has LW 3, 4 & 5 every 2nd Friday from 5:30 – 9:00 pm for training and/or games. This means that some teams train on LW, 3, 4 & 5 some weeks and at a different time or ground on alternate weeks.

Please remember the main COVID-19 rules:-

  • Maintain social distancing
  • Ensure your players use the hand sanitiser that we will give you at your first training session
  • Only non-contact training
  • Maximum of 9 players plus the coach in a group, on a quarter of a full size field

If you have more than 9 players at training they need to be split into 2 groups with one coach for each group. If you cannot find an assistant coach or a parent to help you whilst these restrictions are in place please contact you Age Group Vice-President. We will try and arrange for a player from either our Men’s or Women’s premier league teams to help you.

We will have ground supervisors at LW and Hews to ensure the rules are followed and to answer your questions.

Hews Parade will be open from this Friday onwards from 6:30-8:00 pm for kit collection, gear sales and to collect hand sanitiser if you do not receive it this week.

Thanks,

Bernie & Drew, Rachelle, David, Dan & Scott
